Chase and Status

Chase and Status’ “What Came Before” Album was conceived as a new take on the ‘best of album’ where the producers took inspiration from their old tracks and wrote new pieces inspired by them, rather than just re-releasing. We continued this ethos into the design of the tour content, creating a set of digital collages that pulled together artefacts from the Chase and Status archive (tickets stubs, wrist bands, old rave flyers) then re-configured and distorted them using data sets surrounding their current music such as record sales and global audience reach. This created a compelling unity as track and visuals reflected each other in terms of their output but also the making process.
